Biography:
Simone Zamper is a motivated and skilled Occupational Therapist with a diverse background in hand therapy, rehabilitation, seating and clinical instruction. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Therapy from the Faculdade de Medicina da Universidade de São Paulo (FMUSP), Brazil, earned in 2004. In 2006, she specialized in Occupational Therapy for Orthopedic Trauma and Hand Therapy at the Hospital das Clínicas (HCFMUSP), Brazil. Additionally, Simone earned an MBA in Healthcare from Fundação Getúlio Vargas, Brazil, in 2013.
Simone has extensive experience in both clinical and educational settings. Her clinical experience started with home and community services, neuro-orthopedic rehabilitation, hand therapy, and pediatrics. This diverse background supports her comprehensive client-centered approach in her career in Canada. Simone organized the Splinting Clinic, trained students and other occupational therapists at the largest Children’s Hospital in Brazil, and was responsible for evaluating, planning, and executing occupational therapy treatments.
Simone’s experience with Seating and Mobility includes organizing the Seating Clinic at the largest public hospital in Brazil and teaching. As an invited lecturer and clinical supervisor/advisor, Simone has trained and mentored many students and practitioners. Her teamwork and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams enables her to provide comprehensive patient care. Her positive attitude maintains an optimistic outlook, motivating patients and colleagues alike. She is flexible, adapting to changing patient needs and evolving healthcare environments. Simone’s receptive attitude makes her open to feedback and continuously seeking opportunities for professional growth.
